北马之旅第5天- 单身谷，古吉打的堡垒 Northern Malaysia Trip 5th Day - Lembah Bujang, The Ancient Kedah Fort

"Ohaiyo Snowball!"

I greet Snowball once I finish brush my teeth and wash my face, seems like Snowball is in a good mood as she wake up this early and jogging with others cat......

My grandma prepare us a plentiful breakfast...... I can't believe Zia Mun could finish half plate of glutinous rice cake which my grandma use for Tian Gong ritual ceremony......

If you think our Northern Malaysia trip has over as we leave Penang, therefore you are definitely wrong..... Today, we are going to a famous historical place in Kedah which is Lembah Bujang.......

If you deny or don't know the exist of Lembah Bujang, I'm pretty sure you failed history subject often during secondary school......

Lembah Bujang is located at the foot of Gunung Jerai, Merbok, it was just 20 km away from Sungai Petani...... Lembah Bujang was well known with the Hindu-Buddha fortress at there, according to archeology. those fortress was built around  3rd to 4th century during the Ancient Kedah period, undoubtedly this is a precious history vestige......

After the visit to Lembah Bujang, 6 of us go to the Good Food Street at Sungai Petani, Zia Mun and Pei Li was surprise with the low price food at here...... We also enjoy Sungai Petani favorite dessert - Peanut Ice Blended......

I separate with them after the lunch, they go to Yong Ying's house while I go back to my grandma house to accompany my cousin brother before I leave my grandma house this evening......


Undergo the drought weather for a week in Sungai Petani and Penang, the heavy rain finally fall today.... No matter what, this weather condition doesn't prevent me to gather with them at Yong Ying's house for reunion steamboat dinner at evening....

In pace with the end of reunion dinner, it's time for me, Zia Mun, Pei Li, and San Wee senior to go railway station, we are going to leave soon, it's time to say goodbye to Yong Ying and Xiao Hua,  my grandma, uncles, aunts and cousins and also to this trip......

Tonight, 4 of us going to sleep overnight in train, once we wake up tomorrow morning, it will be a brand new February at KL, this means the northern trip has finally come to an end.

i believe it would be a whole year later when i go to Sg. Petani...

北马之旅第4天 - 夕阳西下，一路向北 Northern Malaysia Trip 4th Day - Gone With Sunset

Check out from the guesthouse at 10.30am, undoubtedly we are going to leave Red Inn today, so do Penang too… Not as early as this, before we leave Penang, we should go more places of interest in Penang & enjoy more Penang local food.

The first destination we go today is Khoo Association, the grandest clan temple in Penang......

Khoo’s Association is also a famous filming spot, from local Chinese dramas such as A TIME TO EMBRACE to Hollywood movie like ANNA AND THE KING. They are all filming at Khoo’s Association.

Re-travel Khoo’s Association, touching every inch of the wall, I fall into the memories of primary school graduation trip in Penang again......

Since we are going to leave Penang soon, now we forget to grab some Penang famous Tau Sah Piah back home.

Afternoon, we have lunch at traditional kopitiam… However, according to Xiao Hua, this kopitiam serve the best Ice Kacang in Penang, hence we had Ice Kacang for dessert for our lunch. :D

 After a full lunch, it’s time for us to stroll to aid digestion… Today, we don’t feel like walking under the hot sun, hence, we choose to go for window shopping at 1^st Avenue, Komtar & Prangin mall.

However, window shopping is not that fun at all because we can only see and touch those items but we can’t own them. At last, we decided that we sing k at Red Box till evening.

                

When we took the ferry back to Butterworth, it’s already 7pm, it’s the time that the sun is already starting to set. As the ferry move towards the mainland, the Penang island became smaller and smaller from our sight as we more further from it. The sky too turned darker and darker as the sun set. It’s such a nice view of the sun setting from the ferry......

 Sky turned fully dark as we reached Butterworth port, we bought a bus ticket to the north and our next destination is Sungai Petani!! My grandma hometown......

                

My stomach started to growl in protest of hunger when we reached SP because it’s already 9pm in the night & we haven’t had anything yet for dinner. Thus, we quickly search for a food court to settle our hunger issue.

 Once we finish dinner, Yong Ying go back to her house while the remaining 5 of us go to my grandma’s house. Although it’s already past 10pm when we reached there, we are not going to sleep that early. This is because tonight there will be a lot of firework in occasion with the Tian Gong ritual ceremony. On the 9^th day of CNY on 12am later, we are going to stroll along to experience the village, the atmosphere during the Tian Gong ritual ceremony......

               

北马之旅第3天 - 街角的烟火 Northern Malaysia Trip 3rd Day - Fireworks At the Lane Corner

Human Day falls on the 7th day of Chinese New Year...... Since today is the 7th  day of Chinese New Year, thus today is Human Day, it's everyone birthday..... I will surprise anyone with my birthday wish...... At the end of this morning, no one feels surprise because they all know today is Human Day, sienz~

Since the whole of Georgetown is still a strong Chinese New Year mood, hence I pick to wear Cheongsam for today's outing......

When we walk through the Lebuh Pantai, we just realize that this road will be close every Sunday, there are no motor vehicles will pass by this road, I can actually roll on the road if I'm not wearing the Cheongsam! =D

We stroll slowly at the seaside road, after we passed by some old western building, at last, we reach Fort Cornwallis which built at 1786...... Nonetheless, instead of buy ticket to enter the fort, we choose to rest at the playground not far away from the fort and enjoy our ice cream, because the weather is extremely hot! (X-x)

Afternoon, we go to the Little Penang Market that only occurs in a month....... There are many rare but nice souvenir sold at here, including the ancient watch...... All of us do love the antique watch however, at last, we just buy one for Pei Li birthday gift......

I doesn't let my hand empty after a visit to Little Penang Market, at least I've spent RM42 for 2 books and a postcard......

We already feel hungry at afternoon, but Xiao Hua didn't bring us to eat lunch, she brings us to Chocolate Gallery..... (@.@) Never mind, at least we can have some sample chocolate to relieve our desperate to lunch......

It's already 4pm when we reach MoonTree 47 for lunch...... MoonTree 47 is not unfamiliar for me and Zia Mun because both of us use to eat at this restaurant branch at Kuala Lumpur......

We take a short break at the guesthouse before we move to the Penang CNY Celebration...... Our temporary guesthouse roommate who was an Austrian feel excited when she heard about the temple CNY Celebration from us.....

Evening, we made our ways to CNY Celebration, we saw Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang - Lim Guan Eng's car at there!

We take a look at some calligraphy stall, traditional operas, a chess match, art gallery, clan temple and association hall such as Teochew Association Hall......

As the day turns darker and darker, the peoples at CNY Celebration turn crowded and crowded, you got to believe that we are stuck with 9996 visitors in this CNY Celebration! (X....x)

It's just so hard to breath in this crowded CNY Celebration, at last, we decide to take an alternative way to CF Foodcourt to enjoy our dinner.....

Since we don't want to stuck at the crowded CNY Celebration again, we had chosen to go to a peaceful place, that is the Chew Clan Jetty we go yesterday......

The breeze, the sound of wave and the serenity at Chew Clan Jetty make me deeply fall in love to this clan jetty......

It's just so hard for me to leave Chew Clan Jetty, but Xiao Hua says she going to bring us to a unique cafe for supper......

Behind 50 Gallery is the cafe Xiao Hua meant..... This is a theme cafe for fellow photographers like Xiao Hua...... This is a photo gallery cafe, they will hang all the outstanding photos that submit by the contestant and the theme of the photos will change every month......

Besides that, there is some antique place here too......

We have a light supper at here, then we play Cho Tai Ti as entertainment.......

...... Suddenly, I heard a sound of explosion...... (O...o)

Oh~ It's a huge and awesome firework.......

Wow, fireworks above the sky of Love Lane...... =)

It's time to silent and enjoys fireworks.....
