Unexpectedly Beyond Expectation

Weekday or weekend? One day or overnight? Outdoor or indoor?

We had discussed the next Form 6 classmate gathering since Afiqah Zabidi wedding on August, and the final decision is we will gathering at 8 October, because most of us are available on that day, so we think 8 October will be the best day of all selection day…..

However, when comes to today, unexpectedly, the gathering canceled at the very last minute due to many of us couldn’t make it……

Shaanthini and I were totally annoyed for the sudden cancel since both of us have prepared to attend this gathering…

“It’s been a long time since we have a long chat, let’s change this gathering into our dating~ ” I suggest.

“Great idea, jom, I think Mahkota Cheras has a couple of new cafés I would like to try~ ” Shaanthini agree.

And then the dating between me and I just formed. However, on the way to Mahkota Cheras, we still think that it would be much nicer if more classmate can join us, so we leave a message of our dating information in our classmate WhatsApp group.

During our school days, we usually lepak at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn area, so we didn’t expect many of us will come as Mahkota Cheras is quite distancing from Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, plus Mahkota Cheras is a traffic jam area……

……Nevertheless, everything is beyond our expectation, we didn’t have much time for dating, as more and more classmate come in, and our table keeps extend…. Fawwaz, Megat, Akmal, Benjo, Paan, Shazwani, Syafiqah, Pika, Shaathini and I, there are 10 of us in total at last!  From a canceled gathering, end up with a gathering of 10, what a tremendous change!

One of our classmates, Paan is birthday boy, hence besides gathering, we even celebrate his birthday…

We ate, we chat, we sing, the whole gathering bustling with noise and joy~

I still remember when I studied in university, my lecturer use 'RARE' to describe a situation where Chinese, Malay and Indian sitting together in a restaurant or cafe, chit-chatting since most people feel more comfortable to stay with their own races today~ But this RARE phenomenon is still a part of my life today~

This is not RARE, this should be a NORM for Malaysians. After having dinner and cake, the gathering should come to the end, but no one wants to be the first one to leave, and we continue taking photos, as we don’t know when will be our next gathering~

Form 6 classmate Single Club~
Ini muka-muka yang nak kaya dulu baru kahwin~~~ =P

Satu kelas 30 orang, reunion ada 10 orang, boleh tahan lah~

After having our last but not least group photo, it’s time for us to say goodbye to each other~

“Tak kira siapa-siapa ada wedding atau gathering, jangan lupa ajak tau?” Syafiqah remind.

I think our next gathering will be at someone wedding, let’ see who is the next bridegroom/bride...
